A Break From My Normal Posts.

There was a huge warehouse fire last night in my town. It happened in a old abandonded paper mill. We were walking Macy around 11:15pm or so and on the way home noticed a huge pillar of billowing smoke not so far off in the distance....we all jumped in the car and headed to the source:

I heard about this yesterday on the radio on my way to North Adams. We have no TV, so would not have known otherwise. They said it as a complete loss, but no one was in the buildings that they knew of. Something to be thankful for.

Amazing photos. Coincidentally, a large wooden bulding very close to my office burned to the ground last week. Luckily, no-one was hurt.

I didn't see the fire itself, but looking at the charred timbers (which were all that was left) made me shiver.

It's so sad when a fire causes such destruction and loss it's amazing how beautiful they can be. I'd rather watch one from a firepit anyday though!! Thanks for sharing your amazing pictures and sure glad noone was hurt in that one!
