I feel like we have reached a new level of hope at 31 weeks, I can't put my finger on just what it is that brings me to this feeling. Maybe it's the Hypnobabies class and the affirmations I have been listening to obsessively on a daily basis. Or maybe, I have truly reached a place of peace and confidence within myself. Whatever it is, I welcome it and it feels good. I know that getting to this place can be very hard for others who have experienced loss, I hope that maybe my ability to feel like I do can give someone else some strength to allow confidence and hope into their own heart.
Yesterday we did something that I wish that we had done while pregnant with Birdie. Take a look right HERE.
Yes, we had a pregnancy photo session and it was absolutely amazing. We had so much fun, and never felt that we couldn't just be ourselves. The photographer that we went to is such a compassionate woman, who is truly gifted, her name is Jessie Passon. I must give her a plug here on the blog, because she takes such lovely images for so many, but also because she is a volunteer photographer for the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep organization (that is why I chose her to do this for us, she knows how important this pregnancy is.)
This week I will post one of the images she took of us, as she is giving me permission to do so. =)
In the meantime, here are some photos that I took back in March-April. They're medium format photos that I finally got around to having processed and scanned. Some are from our trip to Virginia in March, some are more random. enjoy.

she has captured such a wondrous side of y'all. i often see in your pictures a sadness hiding, and with good reason i'm sure. but it's such a beauty to see you two in those pictures. you look joyous, you look like you're having fun.
and my God, you look beautiful, glowing, full of life, full of baby. I see visually the little spirit that's being knit in your womb, in that secret place.
ohh i just can't take my eyes of you.
Those are gorgeous photos! I love all of them! I can't wait to see the pictures she takes when you are holding sweet little Bunny in your arms, whole and screaming.
Those professional shots are absolutely amazing! I know you guys must be so happy to have them, and you both look wonderful!
Sooooo beautiful. I'm so so happy for you, especially in finding hope again.
Erin: HOw is the book going? I thought of you the other day when I visited the Plymouth Art Guild. They were lovely folks. They have an art show each year and it is held in a very nice historic building. I thought maybe you should submit some of your photo's for them maybe next summer.
You are such a talented artist. I can't help but harrass you about showing your stuff.
I would say that you definitely chose the right photographer. Beautiful photos!
Oh Erin! They were soooo beautiful :) Jessie is very, very talented. I can't wait to see all of them. The boys will be starting school next week...maybe we could get together for lunch? would love to spend some time with you.
Love ya,
Meg
